Police Chase Run is a vehicular pursuit simulation game developed by PixelStorm Interactive and released in 2022 for multiple platforms including Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game places the player in the role of a police officer operating a high-performance patrol vehicle tasked with intercepting and disabling fleeing suspect cars across a large, open-world urban environment. The primary objective is to execute lawful traffic stops by employing tactical driving, strategic roadblocks, and non-lethal disabling tools. The game features a dynamic day-night cycle, realistic traffic AI, and a damage system that affects vehicle handling. The single-player campaign consists of 30 missions with escalating difficulty, while a multiplayer mode allows cooperative pursuit or competitive chase scenarios. The game is rated T for Teen due to mild violence and simulated law enforcement scenarios.

Gameplay mechanics are centered on pursuit management. The player must maintain visual contact with the suspect vehicle while avoiding civilian collisions and property damage. A pursuit meter tracks the suspect’s escape progress; if the meter fills completely, the suspect evades capture. The player reduces the meter by performing precision maneuvers such as PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) spins, ramming at specific angles, and deploying spike strips. Each successful action decreases the suspect’s vehicle integrity, eventually forcing a stop. The game also includes a radio system for requesting backup units or roadblocks, which have cooldown timers.

Operation controls are standardized across platforms. On keyboard and mouse, the W, A, S, D keys control acceleration, steering, and braking. The spacebar activates the handbrake for sharp turns. The left mouse button deploys spike strips, while the right mouse button activates the siren, which can intimidate suspects into slowing down. The E key calls for backup, and the Q key toggles the pursuit camera view. On console controllers, the left analog stick steers, the right trigger accelerates, the left trigger brakes, and the A button (Xbox) or X button (PlayStation) deploys spike strips. The Y button (Xbox) or Triangle button (PlayStation) activates the siren.

Tactical techniques include maintaining a distance of two to three car lengths behind the suspect to react to sudden turns. The PIT maneuver is most effective when executed at speeds below 80 km/h and when the suspect’s vehicle is at 50% integrity or lower. Spike strips should be placed on straight road segments with clear visibility to avoid self-deployment. Using the siren intermittently rather than continuously can cause the suspect to make erratic driving errors. In multiplayer, coordinating with a partner to box in the suspect vehicle is the most reliable capture method. The game penalizes excessive force, so ramming should be limited to necessary moments.
