Mech Core: Survivor is a single-player, top-down shooter video game developed by Digital Confectioners and released in 2023. The player controls a customizable mech, designated the "Core," tasked with surviving waves of increasingly hostile robotic enemies. The game is set within a procedurally generated arena. The primary objective is to destroy enemy units, collect experience orbs, and upgrade the mech's weaponry and systems between waves. The game ends when the Core's health is depleted. It features a persistent progression system where earned currency unlocks new chassis, weapons, and modules for subsequent runs.

Gameplay operates on a twin-stick control scheme. On a keyboard, the W, A, S, and D keys control the mech's movement across the arena. The mouse cursor aims the primary weapon, and the left mouse button fires it. The right mouse button activates a secondary weapon or special ability. The spacebar triggers a short-duration dash, providing temporary invulnerability. The number keys 1 through 4 select and deploy active modules, such as repair drones or area-of-effect bombs. The E key interacts with dropped loot crates.

Tactical techniques center on movement and positioning. The player must maintain constant motion to avoid enemy projectiles. The dash ability is optimally used to evade large-area attacks or to close distance on ranged enemies. Prioritizing enemy types is critical; fast, melee-oriented units should be eliminated first to prevent flanking. Weapon upgrades should be selected to create synergy, such as pairing a slow-firing cannon with a rapid-fire laser for consistent damage. The arena's edges provide limited cover, which can be used to funnel enemies into kill zones. Collecting experience orbs is essential for leveling up, which grants a choice of three random upgrades per level.
