Description

Mad Racing-Hill Climb is a mobile racing game developed by App Holdings, released for iOS and Android platforms. The game combines elements of hill climbing and off-road racing with a focus on vehicle physics and terrain navigation. Players control a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and monster trucks, across increasingly difficult hilly tracks. The primary objective is to traverse each course without flipping the vehicle or running out of fuel, while collecting coins and performing stunts to earn bonus points. The game features multiple environments, such as deserts, snowy mountains, and forests, each with distinct surface properties affecting traction and vehicle stability. Progression is achieved by completing levels and earning currency to upgrade vehicle components, including engines, suspension, tires, and fuel tanks. The game employs a 2D side-scrolling perspective with a dynamic camera that follows the vehicle’s movement.

Instructions

Gameplay mechanics center on maintaining forward momentum and balance. The player controls acceleration and braking to manage speed on steep inclines and declines. The vehicle’s center of mass shifts based on terrain angle, requiring careful throttle modulation to prevent rollovers. Coins are scattered along tracks and can be collected by driving over them. Performing aerial flips or wheelies grants bonus coins and fuel refills. Fuel depletes over time and with excessive wheel spin; running out ends the run.

Operation controls are limited to two buttons: a gas pedal and a brake pedal. On touchscreen devices, these are represented as on-screen buttons located at the bottom left and right corners. The gas pedal accelerates the vehicle forward, while the brake pedal slows it down or reverses. Tapping both simultaneously locks the wheels, useful for stabilizing on steep slopes. No steering controls exist; directional changes are achieved solely through acceleration and braking on uneven terrain.

Tactical techniques include feathering the gas pedal on steep ascents to maintain traction without flipping backward. On descents, tapping the brake intermittently prevents the vehicle from gaining excessive speed and losing control. For jumps, releasing the gas in mid-air allows the vehicle to land flat, reducing the risk of a rollover. Upgrading the suspension first improves stability on bumpy surfaces, while engine upgrades are prioritized for tracks with long uphill sections. Collecting fuel canisters on the track extends run duration; players should deviate slightly from the optimal path to secure them when safe.
