The game simulates the consequences of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, presenting a darkly satirical take on public safety messaging. The player controls a driver whose blood alcohol content (BAC) level rises over time, impairing vehicle handling, reaction speed, and spatial awareness. The objective is to navigate a procedurally generated urban environment, reaching a series of waypoints while avoiding collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians, and static obstacles. The game ends when the player crashes, is arrested by police, or successfully completes the route. The visual presentation uses a distorted, desaturated color palette to mimic the effects of intoxication, with the screen blurring and the controller vibrating in response to increasing BAC. The game includes a single-player campaign with escalating difficulty and a free-drive mode for practice.

Gameplay mechanics center on a dynamic impairment system. The player’s BAC level increases automatically over time and accelerates when the driver consumes alcohol from bottles found at certain waypoints. Higher BAC levels cause progressive steering lag, delayed braking response, and a narrowing field of view. The game uses a stamina meter for the driver’s focus, which depletes when the vehicle is driven erratically and recharges during brief stops. The primary objective is to follow a GPS route indicated by a series of floating arrows, which become less visible as impairment worsens.

Operation controls are standardized across platforms. On a controller, the left analog stick steers the vehicle, the right trigger accelerates, and the left trigger brakes. The A button activates the horn, which can temporarily distract pedestrians. The B button initiates a short burst of focus, temporarily reducing impairment effects at the cost of stamina. On a keyboard, the W key accelerates, the S key brakes, the A and D keys steer, the spacebar activates the horn, and the Shift key triggers the focus burst. The game does not support manual transmission.

Tactical techniques involve managing the trade-off between speed and impairment. Players should collect alcohol bottles only when the focus meter is full, as the resulting BAC spike is partially offset by the focus burst. Maintaining a moderate speed below 40 kilometers per hour reduces steering lag and allows for sharper turns. Using the horn before intersections forces pedestrians to clear the crosswalk, reducing collision risk. The focus burst is best reserved for high-density traffic zones or when the GPS arrow is obscured. Players should avoid braking abruptly at high BAC levels, as the delayed response often causes skidding into obstacles. The optimal strategy is to stop at every third waypoint to let the focus meter recharge, even if the BAC continues to rise.
