Description
Crowd Rush is a single-player mobile game developed by Voodoo, released in 2019. The game belongs to the hyper-casual genre, characterized by simple mechanics and short play sessions. The player controls a character moving forward through a series of urban environments, including city streets, stadiums, and concert venues. The primary objective is to navigate through crowds of pedestrians without colliding with them. Successful navigation increases a speed multiplier and accumulates points. Collision with a pedestrian ends the run. The game features a minimalist art style with flat colors and a third-person perspective. No narrative or character customization is present.
Instructions
Gameplay mechanics are based on a single-touch control scheme. The player character moves forward automatically. The player controls lateral movement by tapping and holding the left or right side of the screen. Tapping the left side moves the character left; tapping the right side moves the character right. Releasing the touch returns the character to the center lane. The game world consists of three lanes. Pedestrians appear in random patterns across these lanes. The player must dodge all pedestrians. Contact with any pedestrian results in an immediate game over. A speed multiplier increases incrementally for each successful dodge, increasing the game's difficulty. Points are awarded based on distance traveled and the current multiplier. No power-ups, items, or alternative objectives exist. Tactical techniques involve focusing on the gaps between pedestrians rather than individual figures. Players should anticipate pedestrian patterns by scanning the far end of the screen. Rapid, short taps are more effective than holding a direction for extended periods, as this allows quicker lane changes. Maintaining a central lane position provides the most reaction time for obstacles appearing on either side.
